Good morning church. As many of you know and as was mentioned more than once in yesterday's messages, we are under attack. Spiritually, physically, emotionally, and financially. Any time the church comes together in a unified assault on the enemy he will fight back. Here is the thing about wars. There are casualties on both sides, but we only see our own. What we can't see are the host of slain demons that dared come against us. It is a war, but with a predetermined outcome. Another thing about wars. Most of the time blessings come AFTER the war is over. To the victor go the spoils, and the Victorious One is fighting on OUR side. Now, a little advice. As we are praying many of you will ask God for a change in your life, new direction, etc. That's all well and good, IF you are ready to accept His answer. Sometimes we ask for things because we have formulated the answer already in our heads and we just want God to be our errand boy. It doesn't work that way. God doesn't work that way. He WILL answer but you can't ask God to be in control if You are trying to control His response. As many of you know I have worked in the radiology department at the hospital for many years. Although it was a good paying job and I felt secure there, I was unhappy with the way things had been going for quite awhile. For the past year or 2 I have prayed that God would open a new door and show me something else that I could do. But, I had no intention of quitting and no idea what I would do outside of healthcare. Well, last week after 21 years of service with a spotless record I was suddenly and unexpectedly terminated. Of course your first thoughts are where can I hide bodies, (ok that part is probably just me not any of you) how will I provide for my family, why is this happening, etc. But as the fog slowly cleared from my brain over the next couple days this is what I realized. I had been asking God for a change with no intentions of making a change myself. I had been asking God for something new while being content with the security of what I had. A baby eagle may peak over the edge and wish they could soar like the others, but jumping out never really seems like an option. And then one day there is a push from behind. God pushed me out of the nest. Not so I would hit the ground, but so I could soar higher. Ask God for anything that you want, but be ready and willing to accept His answer. It may not be the answer you expected, but if it is from God it will be perfect. To the victor go the spoils!

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Day 23 of 40 Days of Prayer will be held at the church tonight at 6:00...just prior to Bible Study at 7:00. Last night we were at Cameron and Alissa Cox's house. Such a tremendous Spirit of God moved in toward the end of our prayer time. There was a beautiful message FROM God through tongues and interpretation that brought such peace and encouragement. Keep your focus on God! The miracles and healings will be there if we stay focused on Him! PRAYER WORKS!!! See you tonight!
